This sign tells about the Whirlpool area. The river below makes an approximately 90 degree turn to the right and because of this the water forms whirlpools.
Esta señal explica lo que ocurre en la zona del remolino (whirpool area). El rio que se ve abajo hace un giro de aproximadamente 90 grados a la derecha, lo que hace que se formen esos remolinos en el agua.
This is looking down on the whirlpool area. The river makes it's sharp turn at the lower right hand corner of the photo.

This is Fort Niagara. The fort is right next to where the river flows into Lake Ontario. The winds blow very strong off of the lake.
